Terms of Service

Mode Labs Publisher ("Publisher," "the tool," or "the Service") is software operated by Mode Labs ("we," "us," or "our") to publish content to social media platforms through their official APIs. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of Publisher and any related documentation or OAuth authorization flows that reference this page.

Publisher is not a consumer-facing product. It is an operator tool used to manage Mode Labs' own authorized social accounts. By authorizing Publisher to access a social account you control and are entitled to connect, you agree to these Terms.

Publisher is intended for use only by the Mode Labs operator (or persons explicitly authorized by Mode Labs) connecting social accounts that they own or are authorized to manage. The tool is not offered to the general public as a multi-tenant publishing service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to bind the social accounts you connect.

Publisher allows the operator to:

• Authenticate with supported social platforms (including TikTok, YouTube, Meta properties, LinkedIn, and X) via each platform's official OAuth or API authorization flows;
• Upload or reference media and post text content to connected accounts;
• Schedule or publish posts according to platform capabilities and configured publish modes.

Publisher acts only on accounts that have been explicitly authorized through each platform's consent screen. We do not access social accounts without valid authorization tokens.

Your use of Publisher is also subject to the terms, policies, and developer guidelines of each connected platform, including but not limited to TikTok's Developer Terms, YouTube API Services Terms of Service, Meta Platform Terms, LinkedIn API Terms of Use, and X Developer Agreement. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a platform's terms regarding your use of that platform, the platform's terms control for that platform.

We may modify or discontinue support for any platform if required by API changes, policy updates, or loss of authorization.

You agree not to use Publisher to:

• Connect accounts you do not own or lack permission to manage;
• Publish content that violates applicable law or any connected platform's policies;
• Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or audit requirements imposed by platforms;
• Collect or process data belonging to other platform users beyond what the authorized APIs return for the connected account;
• Resell, sublicense, or offer Publisher as a service to third parties without our written consent.

We may suspend or revoke access to Publisher if we reasonably believe these Terms or a platform's policies have been violated.

PUBLISHER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, ERROR-FREE POSTING, OR THAT PLATFORM APIS WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE OR UNCHANGED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODE LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF PUBLISHER OR ANY CONNECTED PLATFORM.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Publisher after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
