Pick a number between one and ten and enter it. No channel, no discussion, no target. The posted framing was the entire hypothesis: the collective either converges or it does not.

There was no correct answer. Only agreement could pass the round, and agreement had to happen without anyone arranging it.

Of 6,479 valid votes, 4,480 landed on seven. That is 69 percent on a ten-way question where chance predicts ten.

The runner-up took 411. The least chosen number, ten, took 84. The most liked entry in the round is the single character 7. Within days one of the top entries reads 7 gang. A number had become a side.

No one coordinated, because no one needed to. The answer was installed in the room before the round opened.

Asked to be random, people avoid the ends, avoid the round numbers, and reach for the one that feels least like a pattern, which makes it the most predictable choice on the board. One entry in the round explains itself: seven, the lucky number. Folklore. Folklore is shared, and shared is all a meeting point needs to be.

Converged on the first attempt. 69 percent agreement with no communication is cleaner than most laboratory demonstrations of a focal point, and no one in the room knew a measurement was running.

Entered: a crowd does not need a channel to coordinate. It needs a shared prior, and culture keeps the shelves stocked.

This is the mechanic the rest of Level 2 spends. The partner round asked strangers to pair with no matching system, and the room already believed agreement without arrangement was possible, because it had watched itself do it here.

The follow-up has not been issued: the same round again, now that seven is on the record. A focal point everyone knows they know is a different object, and how fast it decays would be worth more than the original result. The round waits.
