By the time you see it, the quote-posts outnumber the original's audience a hundred to one. You read four of the funniest replies. You may write a fifth. The person at the center posted to the same small circle they posted to yesterday, and the circle is gone, and the stadium is looking at them.The mechanism has a name in the research: context collapse. A statement calibrated for one audience is delivered, intact, to every audience at once, and most statements cannot survive the transfer. The territory's weather then does the rest, because its currents demonstrably carry outrage further and faster than any other cargo. No office runs the election. The candidate is chosen by the collision of an ordinary post with an extraordinary current, which is why candidacy cannot be declined and rarely repeats.Every inhabitant knows the event's one rule, and knows it from the crowd side long before thinking of the stage side: you do not volunteer.
