Classification: terrain, private and unmeasurable. One region per traveler. No institution has lawful general access.

FIELD OBSERVATION

The reply is complete. You read it once as a message, once as evidence that you are angry, once in the voice of the least forgiving person who might find it later. The audience has grown while the text has stayed still. You remove one sentence, then the reason for the sentence, then all of it. The field becomes empty. Nothing in the territory records that anything happened.

Something happened.

MECHANISM

Every public post addresses several audiences at once: the person named, the people watching now, the employer or parent or stranger who may arrive later, and a machine that may carry the post beyond all of them. Researchers call this context collapse. Travelers manage it by flattening their language, splitting audiences, concealing subjects, or not publishing.

The last method produces the Drafts.

The region cannot be counted honestly. An unsent sentence becomes evidence only when a traveler chooses to submit it, at which point it is no longer unsent. The absence of a census is therefore not a gap in the Atlas. It is a property of the terrain.

LAW

The Drafts contain every road the traveler prepared and did not take. The territory records the arrival. Only the traveler knows the traffic that turned back.
